Business Intelligence Center hosted GenderSTE, a network funded by COST, the European Program for Cooperation in Science and Technology. The two day event with a networking dinner in between was held on 25th and 26th of April 2016 in ABC HUB, BTC Ljubljana as a support of the gender equality initiative as COST Gender STE is an EU program to promote gender know-how as a prerequisite for excellence in innovation.

The emerging female buying power is a global mega trend - also called Womenomics. Tapping into these market potentials implies to learn more about how to act on the female preferences within your field of business. The EU runs a program called COST Gender STE - to promote Gender know-how as a prerequisite for excellence in research and innovation. On the presentation, given by Mr Klaus Schroeder we learned more about how a gender lense can open new perspectives for product- and marketing innovation - potentially bringing you ahead of the competition.
The presentation was followed by case studies and examples from leading tech-companies like KONE, Gigaset, Bang & Olufsen and Microsoft and led to an inspiring discussion.

On the second day of the event we held a business networking brunch where participants were able to mingle with international guests, such as: Mark Turrell, (Orcasci, young global leader by World Economic Forum), Klaus Schroeder, (Design People) , Gianluigi De Bernardi, Robin Weninger, etc.
